A 17-year-old from Waukesha, Wisconsin, charged with the murders of his parents, is also accused of plotting to assassinate former President Donald Trump, according to an unsealed affidavit from the FBI. Nikita Casap was charged last month with killing his mother, 35-year-old Tatiana Casap, and his stepfather, 51-year-old Donald Mayer. Authorities say Casap lived with their bodies for two weeks following the murders. The FBI further alleges that Casap had been planning an assassination attempt on President Trump. The teen faces charges of conspiracy, attempted assassination of the president, and attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction. During a search of Casaps belongings, officials discovered a manifesto detailing plans to assassinate the president in order to provoke a race war and incite chaos. Casap allegedly shared his intentions on social media platforms, including TikTok and Telegram, and identified himself as a follower of the Order of the Nine Angles, a neo-Nazi group that promotes violence and terrorism.

The FBIs investigation revealed that Casap had also partially funded the purchase of a drone with a "dropping mechanism" designed to release explosives, Molotov cocktails, or potent poisons onto a target. The killing of his parents appeared to be an effort to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carry out his plan, the affidavit stated.

Casap was arrested on February 28 after being stopped for running a stop sign while driving his stepfather's Volkswagen Atlas in WaKeeney, Kansas, located 800 miles from his home in Wisconsin. In the vehicle, authorities found his stepfathers Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum, the victims' drivers licenses, and spent shell casings. Casap was initially charged with operating a motor vehicle without consent and theft of movable property. Later, the charges were upgraded to include two counts of first-degree homicide, two counts of hiding a corpse, theft of property over $10,000, and two counts of misappropriating identification to obtain money. Authorities also revealed that Casap had confided in a classmate about his plan to kill his parents. During his March 27 court appearance, details emerged about the state of the victims' bodies. Tatiana Casap was found in a hallway, covered with blankets and a towel, while Donald Mayers body was discovered in a first-floor office, covered in a pile of clothing.
