

The Imo state police command has confirmed the release of Hon. Ngozi Ogbu, a former legislator who represented Okigwe Constituency in the State House of Assembly. This was made known through a statement made available to journalists by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Henry Okoye, on Thursday, September 18. According to the police, Ogbu was released yesterday night and the command is working in synergy with other security agencies to make sure his abductors are apprehended and brought to book. Recall that the former lawmaker was kidnapped last week by unknown gunmen. The Police Command reassured members of the public that we are ever committed to enhancing the peace and security of everyone in Imo State.
