Two persons have been confirmed d3ad and 12 others injured in a road accident in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State. The accident occurred at about 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in Jikamshi village when a Mitsubishi Canter, with registration number TSF-243-XF, loaded with sugarcane, lost control and rammed into a public gathering. The driver of the vehicle, who is currently at large, lost control and collided with a public gathering, leading to multiple casualties," sources said. The sources said police operatives from Musawa Division immediately moved to the scene, secured the area, and evacuated the victims to the General Hospital, Musawa. Two of the victims, Mustapha Umar, 38, and Mani Salisu, 34, were confirmed d3ad by a medical doctor, while 12 others were admitted for treatment. Some victims who sustained minor injuries were treated and discharged, while efforts were ongoing to apprehend the fleeing driver.
