CAF Awards: Super Falcons win ‘Women’s National Team of the Year’ for the third year in a row

Nigerias Super Falcons have been named the CAF Womens National Team of the Year for the third year in a row, winning the award in 2023, 2024, and now 2025. The announcement was made during the prestigious award ceremony taking place at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Rabat, Morocco. The Super Falcons beat the Black Queens of Ghana and the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco to clinch the award after winning a record-extending 10th title at the 2024 Womens Africa Cup of Nations in August. President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Gusau, received the award on behalf of the team. With this latest accolade, they further cement their reign over African womens football, proving yet again that no team matches their consistency or strength on the continent.
