A viral food influencer was shot and k!lled by police in Texas after reportedly waving a knife erratically and charging at officers screaming "Im going to k!ll you". Michael Duarte, known online as FoodwithBearHands, was in Texas on Saturday, Nov. 8, just three days after his wedding anniversary, when he was k!lled. Medina County Sheriffs Office says they responded to a call of a "male subject with a knife acting erratically" and when they arrived at the scene, he allegedly threatened officers. The sheriffs office said: "After multiple verbal commands were given for Duarte to get on the ground by the deputy, Duarte charged toward the deputy while yelling, 'Im going to k!ll you'." He was shot and pronounced de@d at San Antonio Hospital. His family, who confirmed the dad-of-ones de@th, paid tribute to the "loving" husband and dad who was a "great" friend to many.
Sandra Acosta Amaya, his cousin, posted online: "Michael carried such a beautiful light. He showed kindness to everyone he met. "But what I admired most was the way he loved his wife Jessica Lee Duarte and daughter Oakley. "He had an incredible talent for cooking, and he shared that gift with the world. Foodwithbearhands was so successful because his passion came through in every dish. "Michael, your special light will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, my sweet cousin. I know youre with Jesus now, experiencing the ultimate joy alongside your mom and grandma. I love you cousin." Michael started his Instagram profile back in 2019, where his cooking videos, simply showing his hobby, turned into his own brand. His following amassed more than 800,000 followers on both Instagram and TikTok. His talent agency, Alooma Media Group, said: "It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our valued client and dear friend, Michael Michael. "He was a true & loyal partner, a trusted collaborator, and above all, a remarkable person. "His passion, professionalism, and creativity left a lasting mark not only on our team but on everyone who had the privilege of working with him." Bear Mountain BBQ Pellets, a brand that Michael was an ambassador for, posted a tribute saying: "From the very beginning, Michael was part of the Bear Mountain BBQ story not just behind the camera, but in the heart of our community. "He had a rare gift for capturing the true spirit of BBQ: the smoke, the stories, the laughter, and the love for good food that brings people together. "All of our conversations with Michael started the same way: 'So, Ive got this idea' and every time that idea was something new, inspiring and full of possibility. "His creativity had no limits, and his passion was real, genuine, and full of heart. "But beyond the work, Michael was so much more. A proud dad who lit up every time he spoke about his daughter. A devoted husband whose love for his family was the center of everything he did. "A good man with a generous heart, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone he met.
