Kieran Hayler, the ex-husband of British model Katie Price, arrived at Crawley Magistrates Court this morning for his first appearance after being charged with three counts of r@pe and one count of s3xual assault against a 13-year-old girl. The 38-year-old, who was married to Price at the time of the alleged offences, kept his head down as he walked past photographers in falling snow. Police confirmed last month that Hayler had been charged over incidents said to have taken place between June and October 2016 at an address in West Sussex. Officers said the girl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has been supported by specially trained teams throughout the investigation. The alleged victim is not related to either Hayler or Price. Haylers legal team has strongly rejected the accusations. His lawyers said he denies the allegations in their entirety, adding that he has cooperated fully with police and is confident the judicial process will clear his name. It is understood that Katie Price may be called to give evidence, given that she was married to Hayler during the period in question. A Crown Prosecution Service source said family members and close contacts are being informed that they may be required to testify if needed, emphasising that ensuring the truth is heard is an essential part of the process.
While Price has not issued a formal statement, she appeared to reference the situation during a recent live show in London. Speaking onstage, she alluded to traumatic experiences in her past and hinted at current news affecting her closely, telling the audience she cant say more but implying they would understand her meaning. Hayler, a personal trainer and former stripper, was married to Price from 2013 until they split in 2018 after a tumultuous relationship marked by infidelity and repeated reconciliations. They share two children and finalised their divorce in 2021, a period he has since described as one of the most difficult in his life. After the marriage ended, Hayler entered a long-term relationship with Michelle Penticost, with whom he shares a young son. The couple, previously engaged, separated earlier this year after seven years together.
