NewJeans members returning to record label after losing court case

All five members of the globally popular K-pop group NewJeans are officially returning to their record label ADOR, marking the end of a months-long legal dispute that had threatened to split the group. The conflict began in late 2024, when NewJeans announced plans to leave ADOR, citing allegations of mistreatment, manipulation, and unmet contractual demands, one of which included reinstating former CEO and mentor Min Hee-jin. Following a series of court rulings in ADORs favor, members Hyein and Haerin were the first to announce their compliance with the decision, stating they would respect the courts ruling and return to the company, according to a statement shared on ADORs official X (formerly Twitter) account. Reports from South Korean media later confirmed that the remaining members, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle, have also agreed to return, effectively reuniting the entire group under the label. While the outcome wasnt exactly what NewJeans had initially hoped for, fans are relieved that the group, known for hits like Super Shy and ETA, will continue working together. Industry observers say the resolution not only stabilizes NewJeans future but also reaffirms ADORs hold over one of K-pops most influential new-generation acts.
