"This verdict is deeply unfair" BBNaija star Alex Unusual speaks on Nnamdi Kanu's sentencing

Alex Amuche Asogwa, better known as Alex Unusual, has condemned the sentence handed to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Nnamdi Kanu was yesterday, Nov. 20, sentenced to life imprisonment after being convicted on seven terrorism related charges. In an open letter to President Bola Tinubu, Alex stated that the verdict is unfair. She pointed out that terrorists in Nigeria have been known to negotiate with the government and are often granted pardon. She further pointed out that corrupt officials get away with stealing from the public coffers. She then questioned why Nnamdi Kanu's case, "with all its complexity and historical weight", resulted in a life sentence. "I'm saying this feels like selective justice from the judicial system," Alex wrote. See her full post below.
