A Nigerian woman, Ekechi Rahamat Chinenyenwa Jaji, who converted to Islam, has hailed her Muslim husband, Barrister Muhammad Jaji, describing him as a detribalised Nigerian. Ekechi, from Enugu State, married Jaji, from Plateau State, in 2025. According to her, Muhammad is a true example of Islam being a religion of peace and tolerance. Sharing their photos from a visit to Southern Kaduna, Ekechi reiterated her love for Muhammad, saying she won't trade him for for anything "The power couple. The king and his kingdom. And we represented well in our own way,... Southern Kaduna was nice. But una see this my husband eeeh,...call him an Hausa man, he will answer you. Call him a Yoruba man, he will answer you," she wrote. "Call him an Igbo man, the Odogwu himself, and he will be right there, and the sweetest part of it all come be say he is a Muslim join. "And yes, I'm married to a Nigerian man, a tribal free man, a man who loves diversity, a man who shows the true example of ISLAM being a religion of peace and tolerance, a man who puts humanity first,...When you talk of "ISLAM knows no tribe" then you are talking about my husband.
