The United States' Department of War has released footage of strikes against ISIS terrorists in northeast Nigeria. US President Donald Trump had on Thursday announced that the US had launched a powerful and deadly strike against Islamic State forces in Nigeria. The video shared by the US showed at least one projectile launched from a warship. In a Christmas evening post on his social media site, President Trump did not provide details or mention the extent of the damage caused by the strikes. Trump said the airstrikes were launched against Islamic State militants who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians. "Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries! Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social. US Africa Command confirmed the strikes through a press release. The Africa Command said the strike was carried out in Sokoto state at Trump's and Secretary of War's orders in coordination with the Nigerian authorities and killed multiple ISIS militants.
