One person has been confirmed de@d and several others injured following a road accident on the OshodiIsolo Expressway in Lagos. The Guardian reported that the crash occurred at about 6:10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, when a Siena car reportedly rammed into a passenger bus. Officials of the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) said multiple passengers, including two children, sustained injuries in the incident. According to an LNSC officer, the injured victims were immediately taken to a hospital for treatment, while the driver of the Siena vehicle escaped unhurt. A Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official at the scene said officers focused on securing the area to prevent traffic disruption and maintain order. Safety was important to prevent jungle justice against the driver of the bus. This is a case, and since the police came around to see things themselves, it should be sorted in no time, he said. The driver of the passenger bus explained that he was attempting to change a tyre when the Siena car hit the bus from behind.
