Lagos Authorities Spring into Action to Rescue Young Boy from Home Abuse
In a heartwarming display of swift action, the Lagos State Government has rescued an 11-year-old boy from a harrowing ordeal at the hands of his biological mother. The child had been subjected to severe physical abuse, using electric cables and other hazardous objects, which left him with a multitude of injuries. According to a recent statement from the Lagos State Bureau of Public Defender (BPD), the victim's suffering was brought to their attention, prompting them to report the incident to the police.
Following a thorough investigation by the Nigeria Police Force at the Igbogbo Division, the mother was apprehended and subsequently charged to court. The BPD's swift intervention, coupled with their commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of children, ensured that the victim was safely removed from the abusive environment and placed in a secure shelter for care and protection.
