Army Steps Up Efforts to Disrupt Boko Haram Supply Chain in Borno
In a significant operation, troops from Operation HADIN KAI have made a major breakthrough in the fight against Boko Haram, arresting 18 individuals suspected of providing crucial logistics support to the terrorist group in Borno State. According to a recent statement from the Army, these arrests mark a disturbing trend of civilians being drawn into Boko Haram's support network, which helps sustain the group's activities in the North East.
The suspects were caught while attempting to deliver supplies to the terrorist elements in the Gudumbali axis, after being intercepted on their way from Gubio. Preliminary investigations reveal that many of these individuals were lured into the illicit trade due to personal economic challenges, highlighting how Boko Haram continues to exploit vulnerable people for their operations.
The Nigerian Army is sounding a strong warning to all citizens against collaborating with terrorist groups in any way.
