
A Senseless Tragedy in Katsina: Four Suspects Handed Over to Police
A shocking incident in Kokami village, Danja Local Government Area of Katsina State, has left the community reeling in the aftermath of a brutal mob action that resulted in the tragic death of a local trader. The drama began when a heated dispute erupted between the trader, known as Joe or K.C. Jones, and his customer, Ibrahim Auwal. In a shocking turn of events, Jones allegedly stabbed Auwal during the altercation at his shop. Auwal was rushed to Abdullahi Makama Hospital in Dabai, where he sadly passed away due to his injuries.
The confirmation of Auwal's death reportedly sparked a horrific reprisal, as some youths in the community mobilized, brutally killed Joe, and even set his body ablaze along a nearby road. But justice is slowly taking its course. On April 5, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, spokesperson for the Katsina State Police Command, confirmed that the police have successfully arrested four suspects linked to the mob action that led to Joe's death.
