Fresh Carnage in Plateau as Three Young Lives are Lost



Tragedy struck in Pwomol village, Heipang District, within the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, when three young lives were brutally cut short in a violent attack. The incident unfolded on Sunday night, April 5, 2026, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake. According to the leadership of the Berom Youth Moulders Association (BYM), the victims were members of a vigilante group tasked with keeping watch over the village, and tragically, one other person was injured in the assault and is currently receiving medical treatment.

In a statement, BYM spokesperson Rwang Tengwong detailed the harrowing events of that fateful night, revealing that the attack specifically targeted the village's vigilante youths. The loss of these young lives has sent shockwaves throughout the community, with many left to grapple with the aftermath of this senseless violence.

National President of BYM, Barr. Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri, has strongly condemned the attack, calling for a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident.
