Speaking during a community engagement in Omor, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State, General Musa, represented by Group Captain Ibrahim Bukar, Deputy Director of Defence Media Operations, cautioned that the dissemination of unverified and provocative information poses a serious threat not only to the South East but to the broader peace and unity of Nigeria. The visit was part of a people-focused outreach initiative within the Operation Udoka Area of Responsibility, aimed at fostering trust and collaboration between the military and local communities. General Musa highlighted the danger posed by IPOBs activities, asserting that their campaigns are harmful to the national interest and must be firmly rejected. He criticized the trend of spreading false or inflammatory content pushed by the outlawed group and stressed that restoring security in the region requires active support from the public. People should have trust in the military, because the military belongs to them, he said. They should always provide us with actionable information. When you see something, say something.
