A tragic knife attack at a French high school has left one girl dead and three other students seriously injured. The incident occurred at the private Notre-Dame-de-Toutes-Aides high school in the Doulon area of Nantes, western France. According to local reports, a 15-year-old student launched the attack around midday on Thursday, April 24. The attacker, whose identity has not been publicly released, reportedly entered a classroom on the school's second floor and stabbed one student before moving downstairs to attack at least three more. One of the victims, identified as a girl by French media outlet BFM, died from her injuries. Three others were injured, with two reported to be in serious condition and currently receiving medical treatment. Teachers quickly intervened and restrained the attacker before police arrived and arrested him. Authorities confirmed the boy was a student at the school and had no prior police record. There is no indication of a terrorist motive at this time. French police secured the area as investigators launched a full inquiry. We didnt know whether to believe it, said a third student. Then we saw someone from IT holding the school door and yelling at us to get out.
