His brother Aruoture has now passed on too. According to reports, the brothers were shot in a suspected retaliatory attack near the railway station in Abraka, barely hours after the k!lling of four suspected Fulani kidnappers sent shockwaves through the community. Preliminary reports indicate that Marcus and his brother, Aruoture, were ambushed while driving through the railway corridor, a location previously flagged by residents as a dangerous zone, with a history of attacks and ambushes allegedly linked to suspected criminal elements, Guardian reports. The victims vehicle was found riddled with bullets, and Marcus was confirmed de@d at the scene, while his brother has just been confirmed de@d. The development has raised concerns among locals, with many scared that this incident may be connected to the earlier incident involving the de@th of the four kidnap suspects, whose case went viral on social media earlier in the day. Investigations are ongoing.
