A Nigerian man, Jerison Amos, has revealed that his wife accepted and married him when he didn't even have a bed to sleep on. Amos, who shared his story in a Facebook post on Friday, November 28, 2025 said he had always planned on getting married early though he grew up in a poor family. According to him, he shared his story to encourage young men who are scared of getting married because of financial constraints. Addressing ladies, he said marrying a rich man is not the only key to a successful and peaceful marriage. Today, I want to share with you a story about our little beginning with my wife. My wife accepted and married me when I was nobody and I wasn't even having my own bed. I know it will shock many people but that is the reality of what happened. I think my wife is the only one that knows that, he wrote. Like I told you in my previous story, when I was growing up I planned on having a wife at my early age base on my personal conviction. But growing up in a poor family really lured me of changing that plan but thank God for the wife God gave me who later cue on that plan and encouraged me even at her little age as of then. I must tell you today, to the glory of God we have our bed and that of the people staying around us. I didn't bring this story to brag or to show myself and my family but to encourage those people out there especially our ladies who only thought marrying a rich husband or someone who has arrived is the only way of getting a better, successful and peaceful marriage. I want my story to teach the young men who are scared of getting married because of their current financial constraints that if you are determined and willing to share your ideas with your partner you can definitely become who you wish to be together.
