Former Black Stars of Ghana forward, Asamoah Gyan has named the Super Eagles of Nigeria among his picks to win the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco. Nigeria, who have won the continental showpiece three times, lost to Cote dIvoire in the final of the 2023 edition, but many have tipped them to go all the way in Morocco next month. Gyan has now joined those with that school of thought, especially as the Super Eagles look to seek redemption after failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in North America. Gyan, who was among those who attended the 2025 CAF awards in Rabat, named Nigeria, Cote dIvoire, and Morocco as the main contenders for the 2025 AFCON tournament.
