With deep pain and heavy hearts, we sadly announce the passing of Favour, a 200 Level student of Biotechnology. According to details made available, the incident occurred on Thursday night, December 18, 2025 at Itakeate Isao, where the student was reportedly bitten by a snake. She was immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility in a bid to save her life. It was gathered that she was bitten by a snake on Thursday night and was immediately rushed to the Isanlu General Hospital for urgent treatment. Sadly, despite all efforts, she could not survive and passed on. The news of her d3ath was said to have spread quickly across campus, triggering shock, sorrow, and an outpouring of condolences from students, lecturers, and university officials The Students Union Government expressed deep sympathy with the bereaved family, as well as Favours friends, classmates, and course mates in the Department of Biotechnology, noting that the loss was one that would be deeply felt across the university This loss is heartbreaking and difficult to accept.
