A Nigerian soldier has detailed the Nigerian military pay structure. According to him, a new army recruit gets paid N104,000 which increases to 112 after 5 years, after 10 years in the force salary turns to 115,000 and turns to 125,000 naira if one spends 15 years in the military. He claimed that there are other benefits ranging from N20-25k depending on the military one serves in His revelation comes amid the uprising terrorism and banditry cases in the country and the role the military plays in combating such vices especially when they are underpaid.
