A US-based TikTok user has reacted to boxer Anthony Joshua being helped out of his car by pedestrians and not emergency service responders after a fatal accident in Ogun state yesterday, December 29. The TikTok user criticized Nigerias healthcare and emergency response systems, arguing that despite frequent displays of wealth, the country lacks basic infrastructure. He pointed out that Joshua, a globally renowned athlete who has earned over $100 million from his career, was helped by bystanders instead of trained emergency personnel and was reportedly taken away in a police vehicle due to the absence of an ambulance. According to him, the incident highlights deeper systemic issues and exposes a sharp contrast between public displays of affluence and the reality of inadequate emergency services.
