A Nigerian woman, Okafor Oluchukwu Charity, has recalled memories from the early years of her marriage when her husband's sister allegedly used to flog her.   Oluchukwu, who is still married to her husband, disclosed this in a Facebook post on January 2, 2026.  According to her, she got married at 19 and endured the alleged abuse for eight years.  I just remembered now when my sister in-law used to come to my house with cane to flog me, she wrote. My sister in-law will come to my house then and start asking me why should I fix nails? That I should go and remove that Nansense so I can be able to serve them well as the slave I am.    .
