Senator Seriake Dickson recently appeared on Channels Television's Politics Today, where he shared his thoughts on the current state of Nigeria under the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership. The senator, who represents Bayelsa West, is urging Nigerians to vote out the APC in the 2027 general elections, citing the party's failure to live up to its promises.
Dickson took a swipe at the APC's formation, questioning their motivations and goals. He pointed out that the party's primary objective was to overthrow the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. However, he argued that the party's plan for governance beyond winning power was unclear. "They gathered together for the sake of removing the PDP and President Jonathan and look at where we are," Dickson emphasized.
The senator criticized the APC's lack of a clear vision, citing their campaign slogan "Change" as an example of a vague and unfulfilled promise. "Change can be both ways – you can change from bad to worse, as the APC has done," he said. Dickson accused the ruling party of failing in several key areas, including corruption, insecurity, economic management, and democratic governance.
