Borno State Gets a Break in Kidnapping Case: Suspect Caught Red-Handed

In a significant development, a joint operation by troops of the 29 Task Force Brigade and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) has led to the arrest of a suspected kidnapper at Benisheikh market in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State. The suspect, identified as Chari Modu, was taken into custody on March 30, 2026, at 4:45 p.m. thanks to some very reliable information that came to light.

The successful operation not only resulted in the capture of the suspect but also yielded some valuable evidence, including an AK-47 rifle with the registration number 5657218, a magazine, and a sum of N4,500. These items were recovered during the operation and are now being held for further investigation and any necessary action. The suspect and the recovered items are currently in custody, and the authorities are likely to take this opportunity to get to the bottom of things.
