Nigerian Police Pull Off Heroic Rescue of Abducted Newborn in Nasarawa
In a heartwarming turn of events, the Nasarawa State Police Command has successfully rescued a three-day-old baby boy who was snatched from his teenage mother, Aisha Bada, in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area. The dramatic rescue comes after an intensive investigation led by detectives from Mararaba 'A' Division, who received a breakthrough tip on April 3, 2026.
According to the police spokesperson, SP Ramhan Nansel, the baby was abducted on March 28 by unknown persons who broke into Aisha's uncompleted home, threatening her with violence. Aisha, who is just 19 years old, had been left alone with her newborn baby while her husband, Abubakar Isah, was away in Lagos for business.
In a remarkable show of bravery, the detectives of Mararaba 'A' Division were able to track down and arrest two female suspects, Furera Abdulrahman and Sadiya Abdullahi, who confessed to the crime during interrogation. The suspects also named an accomplice who is still at large.
