Easter Dinner Etiquette Mishap Leaves Woman Wondering If She Overstepped

In a recent social media post, a Nigerian woman shared a story that left many wondering if she had unintentionally offended her gateman. The woman explained that it's a tradition in her household to prepare special meals, like those enjoyed during holidays like Easter, and then distribute them to her employees, including her gateman. On this particular Easter, after cooking a delicious meal, she asked her gateman to bring over his plate, expecting him to share in the feast. However, he surprisingly declined her offer.

It wasn't until hours later, when her neighbor happened to mention it to her, that the woman realized her gateman might have felt insulted by her request. As it turns out, her gateman felt that, as a married man, he shouldn't have been asked to bring his own plate, suggesting that the gesture was meant to be a humble or even subservient act. Now, the woman is left wondering if she had unknowingly overstepped a social boundary. She took to social media to ask for people's thoughts: "Did I actually do something wrong?''
