
Tragedy Strikes During Freshmen's Night in Niger State University
In a devastating turn of events, a 25-year-old student of the Federal University of Education Kontagora, Seyi Simon Oyedeji, has lost his life during a freshers' party on campus. The incident took place on the early hours of Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the university's hall in Kontagora, Niger State. According to sources, the altercation happened around 1:00 a.m. and involved an 18-year-old suspect named Jafar Musa, who is a member of the school's Man O War unit.
Eyewitnesses describe the events leading up to the violent confrontation as a minor argument that escalated into a full-blown fight. "It started as a misunderstanding, but things quickly turned ugly," a student revealed, asking to remain anonymous.
