Troubling allegations have been made against radio and TV personality Howard Stern and his wife Beth Stern. A former employee, Leslie Kuhn, is suing the couple claiming she was subjected to a toxic work environment while working as their executive assistant. As part of her job, Kuhn was asked to live in the Stern's Southampton mansion, where she was tasked with managing a wide range of responsibilities, including overseeing the household staff, handling payroll, scheduling, and coordinating their at-home animal rescue and fostering program.
According to the lawsuit, Kuhn was dismissed less than two years after taking on the role, citing a hostile work environment and overwhelming demands as the reasons for her termination. The lawsuit also raises concerns about the scale of the Stern's animal rescue efforts, which Beth has previously spoken about publicly. The couple has been involved in rescuing large numbers of cats over several years.
Kuhn alleges that after her dismissal, she was presented with a separation agreement that included a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). However, she claims the NDA was improperly backdated and that her signature on the agreement was not genuine, but rather a typed name. Kuhn is asking the court to declare the NDA unenforceable, which would allow her to publicly discuss her experience and respond to any claims made about her. At this time, there has been no public response from Howard or Beth Stern regarding the allegations.
