In a shocking turn of events, a young actor's portrayal of Jesus Christ took a dark turn during a Good Friday reenactment in Uganda. Dennis Zziwa, a second-year law student at Kampala International University, was participating in the intense scenes of a Way of the Cross procession at Our Lady of Africa Church in Mbuya. As he acted out the role of Jesus, Dennis unfortunately suffered serious injuries from the beatings he received.
Fortunately, Red Cross responders were on hand to provide immediate first aid, which helped stabilize his condition. Dennis was then taken to Lamone Health Center in Luzira for further medical attention. Let's hope for a speedy recovery for this brave young actor.
