Tragedy Strikes in Ondo Community as Man Arrested Over Siblings' Fatal Incident
In a shocking turn of events, a 28-year-old man, Femi Agbeye, has been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly attacking his three siblings with a machete in Okitipupa community. According to DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the spokesperson for the command, the incident occurred on April 7, 2026. The police command regrets to inform the public of the tragic incident.
The victims, identified as Bose Agbeye (20), Dupe Agbeye (7), and Blessing Agbeye (5), were found lifeless at the scene, and their remains were evacuated and deposited at the State Specialist Hospital Morgue, Okitipupa, for preservation and autopsy. As a result, a prompt and coordinated operation was initiated to apprehend the suspect.
Upon receipt of the report, operatives of the Command swiftly mobilized to the scene and apprehended the suspect on the same day. The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, strongly condemns this act and assures the public that justice will be pursued diligently. In addition, residents are urged to remain calm and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by providing any useful information that may aid ongoing investigations.
The Ondo State Police Command reiterates its commitment to the protection of lives and property and warns against all forms of violence within the society. The suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
