A surprising turn of events at the Seme border in Lagos State, Nigeria. Last Thursday, April 2nd, operatives from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) made a remarkable arrest. Pastor Afolabi Hodonu, 45, the head of the local Celestial Church of Christ in Agonvi Sea Beach, Sakpo area, and his wife, Mrs. Success Hodonu, 35, found themselves in trouble after hiding 11kg of skunk in the hidden parts of their vehicle.
According to Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA spokesperson, the pastor and his wife were stopped at the Gbaji checkpoint along the Seme border for a routine search. Unfortunately for them, it was during this search that the illicit cargo was discovered. The arrest is a significant one, and it's interesting to note that it follows the apprehension of a fake security agent, Sunday Samuel, 35, just four days earlier. Samuel was caught on Monday, March 30th, while transporting 24.5kg of skunk from the Seme border to Lagos.
