"Yobe Police Arrest Two Suspects in Connection with Murder and Narcotics Cases"

An incident occurred in Damaturu, Yobe State, resulting in the arrest of two suspects allegedly involved in murder and narcotics cases. Musa Mohammed, 24, and Abdullahi Musa, 20, were apprehended by the Yobe State Police Command. The suspects were involved in a fatal attack in the Bindigari Primary School area, where a distress report was received by the A Division Police on April 7, 2026, at 2:10 pm.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 33-year-old man, Adamu Suleiman Saidu, was allegedly attacked by Musa Mohammed following a misunderstanding believed to be connected to substance abuse. The suspect allegedly used an axe, inflicting severe injuries to the victim's head, while sustaining minor injuries during the altercation. Police operatives swiftly mobilized to the scene, arresting the suspect and recovering the axe, which has been registered as an exhibit.

In a separate incident, police officers responded to a violent fight between two young men in the Abari community on April 5, 2026. The dispute reportedly started over a borrowed T-shirt, leading to a fight between Alamin Abdullahi Musa, 20, and Ibrahim Abdullahi, 21. The police are investigating the incident, and the individuals involved are expected to be prosecuted accordingly. As a result, the police are working to maintain law and order in the community.
