Nigerians argue online after man claims daughters don’t count as “real children”

A heated conversation erupted on social media after a woman responded to a post advising men to have at least one daughter for old age, warning that sons may abandon their fathers in the hospital while rushing off to help their friends that have been sh*t. But the part that truly set Nigerians on fire was her sarcastic follow-up statement telling men to marry multiple wives if their first wife gives birth to six girls because, according to her, daughters are not real children, real men birth sons. The comment ignited instant backlash. One woman quickly corrected the narrative, reminding that the mans chromosome determines a babys sex not the woman.
