Senator Ned Munir Nwoko has issued a fresh warning to those he says are behind a growing wave of online attacks targeted at him. In a statement released on Thursday by his communications team, the Delta North lawmaker alleged that certain individuals are orchestrating a coordinated pattern of cyber-stalking, harassment, and criminal defamation aimed at creating a false impression of persecution. According to the statement, the recent flood of videos and online publications is calculated to create a false narrative of persecution to serve ulterior motives. Senator Nwoko stressed that hes fully focused on his legislative, developmental, and business responsibilities and has no interest in what he described as online distractions or fabricated drama. He also warned against the rising culture of using public sympathy to shield alleged wrongdoers, saying it poses long-term risks to national values. Part of the statement reads: Our attention has been drawn to a renewed pattern of online harassment, cyber-stalking, and coordinated defamatory videos and publications targeted at Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko. These actions appear calculated to create a false narrative of persecution in order to serve ulterior motives. The statement added that while the Senator avoids social-media drama, grave allegations must be addressed legally, not through misinformation or emotional manipulation. It continued: We must caution the public that the growing culture of supporting deviant conduct, shielding wrongdoers, and weaponising public sympathy is damaging to our national values. The Senator has now instructed his legal team to petition the Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of DSS, and the Cyber Crime Unit, urging a full investigation and prosecution of those involved. He insists digital footprints will be traced and legal action will follow. The statement also called the attention of the U.S. and U.K. authorities, warning against any attempts to stage artificial drama around a stable family structure in order to gain asylum or other undue advantages. The public was urged to ignore circulating narratives until proper legal processes run their course. According to his team, Senator Nwoko remains committed to dignity, responsibility, and due process as he continues his work.
