Olu of Warri’s security stops lady from shaking him at an event (watch video) as Nigerians react

Nigerians on social media are reacting to a trending video showing the moment the security detail of the Olu of Warri stopped a lady from shaking him at an event. The monarch was in Lagos state on Tuesday, January 6, attending an event at the Wole Soyinka Center for Culture and Creative Arts. Just as he arrived at the venue, organizers of the event filed out to receive the king, After being received by some of the organizers, one of them went further by introducing the young lady as a member of their team. Immediately after her name was mentioned to the king, the young lady stepped forward and stretched her hand to shake the monarch,  This was immediately stopped by the security detail of the monarch who immediately slapped her hand down. The king however went on to acknowledge her and greet her, howbeit he did not shake her nor initiate a handshake with her. The video has sparked a debate online. While some Nigerians berated the young lady for attempting to shake a monarch, others argued that there is no justification for stopping her to shake the monarch, They argued that if she was a person of importance, the security would not have stopped her from shaking the monarch.  Some Nigerians also reacted to a video showing the monarch at the same event standing up to shake the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.Watch the viral video below     View this post on Instagram
