Nigerias Super Eagles have reportedly threatened to boycott training and delay their trip to Marrakech for their crucial AFCON 2025 quarter-final showdown against Algeria unless the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) promptly settles all outstanding winning bonuses from the tournament. The three-time African champions, who cruised into the last eight with an emphatic 40 win in the round-of-16 win over Mozambique, are said to be demanding payment of agreed incentives covering both the group stage and knockout rounds. The bonuses reportedly remain unpaid despite funding support from the government. Renowned Nigerian journalist Oluwashina Okeleji disclosed that the NFF has yet to pay players and officials their win bonuses from all four matches played so far in Morocco.
