Katie Price, a 47-year-old former glamour model, has faced yet another driving ban, her seventh, following a recent speeding incident. On the A64 near Stutton in North Yorkshire, a Ford Capri registered in her name was recorded travelling at 80mph. As a result, the police contacted Price requesting confirmation of the driver's identity, but she failed to respond.
The police non-cooperation led to her prosecution and conviction for failing to provide information to the authorities. The court ordered her to pay fines and costs exceeding £1,000. This latest disqualification adds to her extensive history of driving offences, which date back to 2010 and have resulted in bans totalling more than six years.
Price has faced various driving-related charges, including speeding, driving while disqualified, drink-driving, and failing to identify drivers in multiple cases. In 2019, she admitted to driving while disqualified and was later convicted of being drunk in charge of a vehicle. She has also faced penalties for driving without a licence or insurance and received a suspended prison sentence in 2021 after a crash in which she admitted to driving under the influence.
In addition to her driving record, Price has faced financial challenges, including bankruptcy proceedings. Although her bankruptcies from 2019 and 2024 have been discharged, she remains under a court order to repay debts until February 2027. Her extensive driving convictions have made it difficult for her to obtain car insurance. The individual was taken into custody, and her driving privileges have been suspended for six months. The situation remains ongoing as Price continues to address her financial and driving-related issues.
