Nigerian Navy Saves the Day with Daring Rescue in Bonny
In a thrilling display of bravery and determination, the Nigerian Navy has successfully rescued a kidnapped individual, Mr. Benedict Eze, from the clutches of his captors in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State. According to Captain AA Folorunsho, Director Naval Information, the rescue mission was the result of a sustained security operation involving personnel from Forward Operating Base (FOB) BONNY.
The victim, who was abducted on March 23, 2026, at Aganya Community, was abandoned by his captors at Coconut Jetty after they were unable to escape due to the intense operational pressure mounted by the Nigerian Navy. The rescue team, equipped with the latest technological enablers and intelligence, successfully tracked down the kidnappers and managed to rescue the victim without any harm.
After being rescued, Mr. Eze was safely evacuated to the Naval Base medical facility for evaluation and debriefing, where he was eventually reunited with his overjoyed family. The successful rescue mission highlights the effectiveness of the coordinated maritime and land-based security operations conducted by the Nigerian Navy in collaboration with other security agencies to deny criminal elements freedom of movement within the Bonny Port Harcourt waterways and adjoining creeks.
