A major breakthrough has been achieved in the fight against terrorism in Adamawa State. On April 1, 2026, at approximately 1:15 a.m., troops from the 232 Battalion, in conjunction with professional hunters, conducted a cordon-and-search operation in the Angwan Rami general area of Mubi North Local Government Area. This daring raid was prompted by credible human intelligence, which hinted at terrorist activities in the region.
The operation led to the arrest of three suspected terrorists, identified as Ado John, 27, Umaru Yunusa, 22, and Alhaji Saleh Mamman Ibrahim, 44. Preliminary investigations have confirmed that these individuals are indeed linked to terrorist elements operating in the area.
