Actress Funke Akindele Opens Up About Setting Boundaries and Letting Go of Toxic Relationships

Funke Akindele recently sat down with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown on The Morayo Show, where she opened up about her unique approach to relationships. The actress, known for her strong bonds with friends and loved ones, also revealed that she's not afraid to distance herself from people who hurt her feelings.

When asked to explain her behavior, Funke confessed that she's an "extremist" when it comes to loving and caring for others. She pours her heart and soul into building relationships, but when things take a turn for the worse, she tends to cut ties entirely. Funke credits her late mother for teaching her the importance of giving people space and understanding that not everyone will share her perspective.

However, after a chat with actor Uzee Usman, Funke realized that she needed to find a better balance between being a loving and supportive person and protecting her own mental health. Usman reminded her that as a leader, she can't please everyone, and that she needs to be kind to herself and prioritize her well-being. It seems Funke has taken this advice to heart and is working on giving people more grace and understanding.
