Arise TV hosts Reuben Abati and Rufai Oseni have sparked a heated debate with their comments on President Tinubu's visit to Jos after last Sunday's tragic attack that claimed over 30 lives. On March 2, President Tinubu paid a condolence visit to the government and people of Plateau State, but unfortunately, he met with the bereaved families at the airport rather than at the site of the attack. Speaking to the gathering, President Tinubu explained that he had to leave within ten minutes due to issues with the airport's runway lights.
During their morning broadcast, Rufai Oseni expressed his disappointment with the President's actions, labeling them as insensitive. He pointed out that President Tinubu had previously visited the site of a similar tragedy in Yelwata, and questioned why he hadn't done the same in Jos. Rufai wondered aloud, "What level of insensitivity to the plight of the people do we have in this country?" He also noted that the President had an event at the airport while claiming to be there to commiserate with the people. Rufai's words were laced with frustration, as he addressed the President directly, saying, "You are the number 1 citizen. You have all the security might in this country."
