In a heated exchange, Donald Trump has fired back at Bruce Springsteen, calling the 76-year-old singer "a dried-up prune" who looks like he's had some questionable plastic surgery. Trump's scathing remark was posted to Truth Social yesterday, April 2, just a day after Springsteen delivered a passionate statement on stage during the opening night of his E Street Band's Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour in Minneapolis.
Springsteen's speech had been a rallying cry for working Americans, with the singer declaring that while they struggle, the current administration is enriching itself. "While working Americans struggle, our president and his family enrich themselves by billions of dollars trading on the people's office in corruption unmatched in American history," he said. "This is happening now." Springsteen also accused the White House of "destroying the American idea and our reputation around the world."
Clearly, Trump was not pleased with Springsteen's words. In response, he took to Truth Social to defend himself, stating that Springsteen has "a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome." Trump also called Springsteen a "total loser" who "spews hate against a President who won a landslide election," including the popular vote and 86% of the counties in America. The President also suggested that Springsteen's concerts are overpriced and not worth attending, urging his supporters to boycott them.
