In a major breakthrough, the Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a 25-year-old woman named Nadisa Usman, who's been involved in a shocking trade - supplying ammunition to terrorists in Katsina State. Operatives of the DSS caught up with Usman at a major motor park in Kano State, where she'd bought 200 rounds of brand new ammunition from Nasarawa State, cleverly concealing them inside bags of garri and rice.
Usman, from Zango village in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, reportedly confessed to the crime, revealing that she'd been in the business for about two months. According to her, she was supplied the ammunition from Lafia in Nasarawa State by a man named Teso, who she claimed worked with a soldier. The ammunition was then transported to Unguwa Uku motor park in Kano, from where it would be sent to Katsina for a group of bandits operating in the Kankara forest.
Usman named several individuals she'd supplied the ammunition to, including a man identified as Mallam Haruna, who she claimed was operating in the Kankara forest. She also mentioned conducting transactions worth about N5 million with Haruna and two other individuals, Buba and Abu. When questioned, Usman expressed regret over her involvement, stating that she'd been caught and exposed.
