Teenage Troublemakers Banned from UK's Nightlife Scene
Two 19-year-old friends, Kera McKeown and Larisa Sumovskaja, have hit rock bottom in the UK's nightlife scene after being banned from all pubs, bars, nightclubs, and hotels across the country. The incident that led to this ban took place last April at the Trouville Hotel in Bournemouth, where they weren't even guests, but had somehow managed to gain entry with their friend Jasmine Orchard.
It was a chaotic scene, with both girls causing extensive damage and distress to the hotel staff after being asked to leave. According to Prosecutor Tara Olney, the hotel suffered a significant reputational blow, resulting in lost bookings and a hefty repair bill of around 4,000, including refunds to guests who had been affected by the commotion.
During the incident, McKeown made a threatening remark to a receptionist, saying 'I will punch you up', before spitting at her and destroying several items, including vases, a computer screen, and a phone, which unfortunately hit one of the staff members. Meanwhile, Sumovskaja thought it would be a good idea to pick up a fire extinguisher, only to have McKeown use it to attack the staff.
District Judge Orla Austin described the girls' behavior as 'disgraceful' and warned them that they had narrowly escaped immediate imprisonment after admitting to charges of criminal damage and affray. In
