A Shocking Truth Exposed: Human Trafficking Sting in Lagos Unravels the Dark Reality
In a disturbing turn of events, the Lagos state police command has made a heart-wrenching discovery, arresting four suspects for allegedly possessing and selling human body parts in the city. The suspects, aged 34, 44, 46, and 48, were apprehended in March by detectives from Adeniji Adele Divisional Police Station, who got wind of their illicit activities through a stop-and-search operation on Bamgbose Street in the Lagos Island area.
The principal suspect, a 46-year-old alleged supplier of the human parts, was found in possession of suspected human body parts during the operation. According to a police source, the suspect claimed to have acquired the deceased body under the Adeniji Adele underbridge, where he scours for abandoned human remains to sell to buyers who use them for ritual purposes. What's even more alarming is that he sells these body parts for a staggering N10,000, using them to prepare black soap, which he claims offers spiritual benefits to those seeking good fortune, luck, or favor.
The principal suspect's confession led to the arrest of the other three suspects, who admitted to purchasing human flesh and body parts from the network.
