Donald Trump had a close call during his presidential campaign in 2024 when he was grazed by a bullet. Now, a man from Massachusetts has been arrested for allegedly making threatening posts about the former president on social media. Andrew Emerald, 45, is facing serious charges after writing eight disturbing messages last year, including one that read, "Either Trump is dead and in the ground by 2026, or I am hunting him down and putting him there." This chilling statement was made in May 2025, and it's clear that Emerald's intentions were far from harmless.
The threats didn't stop there. In another expletive-laden post, Emerald allegedly vowed to attack Trump's resort in Florida, saying, "I'll make sure you're at Mar-a-Lago when I burn it to the f****** ground." It's chilling to think about the potential consequences of these threats. When authorities executed an arrest warrant at Emerald's home, he refused to come outside and even brandished a long metal sword, telling agents they would have to shoot him. Luckily, a crisis negotiator and local police officer were able to persuade him to leave the residence peacefully.
The FBI has since released pictures of several swords and blades found inside Emerald's home, including a post that showed him planning to take his sword to Washington D.C. to kill Trump and others.
