Meet Ibro Musa, a Nigerian man who's unapologetically proud of his phone-happy ways - so proud, in fact, that he's bragged about it online. According to Ibro, his wife has finally had enough of checking his phone, which always seems to bring a deluge of "premium tears" in its wake. But that's not the only issue here: a marriage therapist named Shamseddin Giwa is calling Ibro out for his behavior, saying that it's a stark contrast to what true love really looks like.
In a scathing response, Shamseddin pointed out that if Ibro's wife has stopped talking about the infidelity, it's likely because she's either checked out of the marriage or found comfort elsewhere - with friends, family, or even someone new. "If every time your wife checks your phone, she finds things that make her cry," Shamseddin wrote, "then you probably don't love your wife." He went on to say that a true leader and husband would never subject his partner to such abuse and poor treatment, and that love is always transparent, kind, and considerate of others' emotions. In Ibro's case, it seems like love is sadly missing from the equation.
