A Heroic Rescue in Borno: Nigerian Troops Save Two Teenage Boys from Terror Camp
In a daring operation, troops from the 25 Brigade successfully rescued two teenage boys who had made a daring escape from a suspected terrorist camp in Dusula, Borno State. The boys, identified as 15-year-old Abuna Yammadu Kala and his 10-year-old brother Abulkaka, were spotted in the village of Azir by the village head, who immediately alerted the troops stationed at Forward Operating Base Azir. The village head's swift action led to a rapid response from the troops, who apprehended the boys and took them to FOB Azir for questioning.
According to military sources, the boys revealed during their initial interrogation that they had recently fled the terrorist camp due to unbearable living conditions and a deep-seated fear for their lives. The troops, who are part of the 25 Brigade operating in Damboa Local Government Area, were quick to respond to the situation and provided the boys with a safe haven. Following their rescue, the minors were moved to a secure location for further profiling and necessary action.
